TTM Mix Ups

So I have read about this in many feedback threads; celebrities or more likely their assistants mixing up which items are to be returned to which person. This happened to me recently with Rhonda Fleming (
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=252336) and I was wondering if this is more common than you'd think. Has it happened to most? I heard one way to prevent this is to write your name on the back of photos but my favorite thing to send to be autographed is trading cards since I collect them otherwise, and I wouldn't want to mark them.
Maybe because I send trading cards and not photos this will happen to me less unless the celeb receives many cards? I think non-sports trading card TTMs are less common than other types. What has been others experience with this?

I have had two mixups:
One: I got one of my SASEs in the mail and I joyfully opened it. But I didn't recognize the person on the 8X10 photo! Fortunately her handwriting was legible and I could see the name was Victoria Justice but I didn't write her! And someone I really wanted no longer had a SASE to use and maybe my letter was lost too! I'm not 100% sure I figured it out right but I gave a guess and re-sent to the person I think the SASE was meant for.
Two: I still got the right photo back but it was personalized to Tyler, and I am not a Tyler.

I even wrote my name on the back of the photo but I guess the letters got mixed up.

Some success is better than no success. I really appreciate when celebs dedicate to me.

A year of TTM collecting and probably 60+ TTM success's and only one possible mix up. I sent to the band Simple Plan VV, and about a month after the original concert date I got my picture back signed but not my CD booklet. Makes me wonder if they mixed it up, forgot to put it back in the envelope or what. Either way though, I've never received anyone elses items in a mix up... yet.. knock on wood.
