hi everyone, sorry if this is in the wrong spot or if a topic like this exists already.
anyway, I've been disappointed by the amount of secs Jennifer Lawrence sends out. they're not even all the same! if those were really all her authentic signatures, she'd sign a different way every week. I completely understand that she's a super busy person, especially now after Hunger Games fame. but I would rather not have her autograph at all, or wait ages and ages for an authentic one, than have my photos signed by secs. (especially when her website says you can get an autograph from Jen herself.) I think a lot of people might agree. I really don't want to embarrass her or make her feel bad. she's kind enough already answering the few letters that she does. and I'm not saying all the successes from the KY address are secs - though most are. but does anyone think it would be a good idea to send polite but firm letters to the secretaries stating what basically what I said above? the envelopes would be addressed to Jen, of course, but the letters would be to the secs. if a bunch of us did it, maybe it would help.
do you think this is a good/bad idea? if you'd like to participate, please say so, and I could make a list of those who send the letters out and potentially even set a date to mail them. if you disagree, I'm open to your reasons and suggestions.

ive put a post it note on my picture saying if jen cant sign it then please send the pic back unsigned.

i should of added "like is says on her website"

but i think i read somewhere with people even writting to the secs dont sign it.. they still do..

i think if they are gonna do secs they might as well do PP/AP .. which would be better and closer to her real autograph then the secs are.

I honestly don't think the secs even read the notes. Or if they do, they hope that IF they sign it anyways, the person requesting will believe Jennifer really did.

So... they are still doing what they think is good for the fans. and for most fans who aren't on here, or really into autographs... will be fooled.

doubt that they actually read anything..

they probably do hope that they'll end up fooling people.

yeah, I guess I agree with everyone. obviously it's not like Jennifer's going to tell everyone, "hey, for the record, all those autographs are signed by my secretaries." she wants you to believe they're real, and the majority probably thinks they are. oh well :neutral:

dido .. well unless they do another mall tour.. which they probably will but it will be alot worse now..

Unfortunately a lot of people, I'd say the majority, who write to the KY address are not collectors and are fooled by the secretarial signatures. I have seen it time and time again on other fan websites people boasting excitedly that they'd received a signed, dedicated autograph from Jennifer, and one even try to give it away to gullible fans despite being told numerous times it was a fake. I could be wrong, but I believe Jennifer told a member here at the Mall Tour that her "assistant" handles her fan mail now, so she has seemingly admitted that one. A polite but firm letter is IMO fine, but be aware that many people have asked for items to be returned unless they are genuinely signed by Jen, and received the dreaded secs...so either they're not reading, or they don't care. I think having a public address on her actual website has caused an influx of requests they are absolutely not able to handle.

That being said, I have received Jen VV so it seems if you get here in the right place at the right time, she is willing to sign. I have received 2 lots of secretarials and I understand your disappointment. I wish she'd pre-sign or something, so that her "assistants" can stop lying on the site.

PS - I'd be curious to see if any successes came from her LA/agency address. Everyone's been so caught up in her KY address, I've seen little to no mention of it.

yeah, IP chances are about zero where I live too. I'm also curious to hear from people who have tried the LA address. and hoping there will be a VV address in the future! thanks for everyone's input
