How do you feel about sending to "private" addresses?

So, I have sent before.
Twice actually.
I never got anything back.
Unless you count Danielle Campbell's High School, which I did get back.
This is the first time I have found the address. Usually someone else gives it to me.
I don't want the whole "it's stalkerish arguement"
I want your honest feedback. Have you ever gotten anything? (rts, autograph, nothing at all) What did you write in the letter?
Or just your opinion. I don't want the whole "stalker" thing though.
^you don't have to tell me who the celeb was, just how you feel/have seen.
BTW; not athletes, I'm talking about singers/actors.

I've written to 3 private addresses. One success so far.
I have mixed feeling about it.. I hate for them to feel bothered at home or wherever so I tell them if they don't want to sign or if they refuse the package I totally understand

I sent to three private addresses. No responses from any of them yet.
I totally understand if they RTS or just plain refuse to sign.
I even get it if they just dump the whole thing into a trash bin, and I never get anything back.
Understand you are invading someone's privacy when you send to their house.

I happened to find the addresses. I searched there real names, and when I found the address I looked at related people and it was there wife/kids/parents. I don't know if it's real or not, and that's something else I'm debating. The addresses are even close to where they live.
I totally understand they can dump the whole thing in the trash and plainly refuse to sign.
but I read on the forum I could get in legal trouble for stalking? I found one by accident (it was posted on a website). They we're really easy to find and now I am worried. ._.

That's how I feel. Mixed feeling. I don't wanna seem like stalkerish or something. Do you write that in your letter? Like sorry for bothering you??

To answer your question...GO FOR IT! To expand your collection and make it the best as possible and get stars that you love that RARELY Sign TTM, you NEED to send to private address whether it is @ their home or a private email address..and I don't wanna hear the whole ""stalkerish arguement" either....Getting mail is part of their job and they signed up for it...so yeah I say GO FOR IT! To answer your other question, I haven't sent that many personal requests however I have gotten a successful success from HILARY DUFF who doesn't sign TTM anymore so I was sooo pleased. (To answer the question before I get TONS of messages (I already have...lol), I don't have the home address anymore..This was her old address before she moved..) ;)

yea the first thing I say is sorry to bother you at ur home.
Not stalkerish.. Everyone's info is a public information specially on like gov websites like voter registry.. Stalkerish is if you got to their homes and follow everything they do n go every where they go
And take into fact that tours in LA take you directly to the celebs houses so a lot of people get the address like that too

I've had 5 successes from home addresses so far, all from people who never usually sign through the mail so I feel really lucky! It's a lot more personal and I've had some great answers back! If they don't want fan mail sent to their homes then they just won't respond back and just remember not to give the address out, we must respect their privacy.

99% of celebrities won't respond to mail sent to their home because they won't want to verify they can be reached at that address and open the flood gates. So you are more annoying them and possibly turning more celebrities against the hobby.

I only use it as a last possible option. Only if the person doesn't answer TTM/ VV. I also apologize for invading their privacy.

I think I might try them. I'm not getting any luck through the agencies, and I won't be giving the address out.
And why I am at it, how in the H*ll did you get Tom Hanks autograph?
