Any Tips?

Hello Everybody, I am a new collector, i actually haven't gotten any autographs yet i was just wondering is there any tips anyone can give me for success?

hey!
always, always, include a SASE! self addressed stamped envelope. if you are sending something to another country, always use an IRC international reply coupon.
do some reasearch on the celeb. check out which addys r successful and which aren't. make sure the website you get your info from is update regularly cause addresses change.
in your letter, be sincere: use manners! don't make it too long, celebs are very busy people.

Always include something to be signed. I usually just put a blank postcard in, and kind of say that if they had something better then i'd be pleased. Usually you'll get a photo or something back instead.

For a new collector i would suggest Studio Fanmail. Send them an email with your address and you will receive a pre-print of the celeb you want. It's 100% risk free.

But then be aware that none of the autographs you will receive from studiofanmail are real! I have to say that when i started out and received pre prints I was very dissapointed. I don't think new collector's want to be lead to pre prints.

I LOVE the pre-prints! They are amazing photos.

The only photo from AFM I've been really happy with is Jennifer Aniston, that picture is gorgeous!!!
