Writing LORs is a bore...?

Hi. I recently started losing my interest in writing letters to celebrities... Unless I REALLY like them.... Writing letters is started to feel more like a chore than a hobby... Is anyone else feeling like this? No hate please. :(

Although I don't feel the same, I can understand that it is so disappointing to write dozens of letters and then receiving nothing back :? . When I started collecting, I had some unrealistic ideas like HM Queen Elizabeth II or The Pope could reply me authentically   Nevertheless, I don't want to miss the excitement when I open my mailbox and find a reply inside :D

Maybe stick to those you really really like then as so it won't feel like a chore writing those letters.

Personally, I haven't got bored yet and it doesn't feel like a chore. I love writing!!
And like Manini said, I also like the excitement of checking the post to see a reply!!
Only been going for 14 months though, so who knows! lol

Sometimes. But it's always good to take little break from this and then come back with new enthusiasm {up} :)

I did as others suggested, I took a break and I am now writing to my short list of should've,could've but didn't list.

It can feel silly writing and gushing to someone who may just briefly look at your letter or not at all.

We hope they read our letters and cherish our personal comments for life but I doubt that is how it happens.

Anyhow I took time off because to be honest this hobby can be expensive and I felt the need for a break. I recently started again and I am getting back into the swing of it with renewed interest.

Honestly, I'm kind of feeling the same way now. I've never liked hand writing papers or letters or anything (typing > handwriting), but I will only send out handwritten requests. My enthusiasm for writing letters has died out a bit over the last few months. From July 2011-around late April 2012 I sent out probably 200+ requests. But from May-now I've sent out about 15 requests... I still obviously enjoy getting returns and growing my collection, but I haven't had much motivation lately

I agree! :D
I have been doing it for a long time now i have sent of 15 fanmail letters in the past 5 to 6 months and my last reply was in the middle of October!
It was gettng a big boring and costing a lot of money so i have stopped for a bit and will start fresh again in the new year!

P.S.

Don't worry i won't hate!
