Do YOU count Preprints, Autopens, etc as Autographs?

I have received about 10 Preprints, but I have only received one authentic autograph (Tommy Chong - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=271151)

That's why my autograph count here is 1.

Do you count the pre prints, autopens, secs, ect as Autographs?

I pretty much agree. Getting a sec sucks BUT you got something back and not just threw in the trash. Not really a success but not a complete failure. At least you got a picture.

If it is not authentic, it is not an autograph. But the point is if the person who has it thinks its real, as long as he/she doesn't sell it. Than they can count it IMHO

Simpleman, as you can tell so many people have different opinions. Everyone agrees AUTHENIC are great but when you ask about the other replys its really all over the board. Some think anything not authentic is trash but others are happy to get a response at all. Average collectors are happy with PP,AP,and may dont even know they got a sec. because they dont check. The higher end collectors check or know if its real. I bet you will get alot of differing opinions and its up to YOU to decide if Your happy with the signed pic. you get.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just wanted to know more or less what people do on here.
I really like the authentic ones, I have gotten a few pre-prints and autopens, but I don't plan on giving them away or throwing them away, maybe store them in a different place from my authentic ones.

I barely acknowledge actual autographs that are TTM as real since theres no way to know 100% it was signed by the person. To me, IP autographs are the only ones I truly count. I've even turned down a couple TTM graphs people have tried to give me for my collection because I simply would never know. At least if its from an IP encounter, there is someone there who can say "yes, I saw it get signed".

Definitely no doubt that PP/AP/Sec are not autographs. Thats not even up for debate.
