Sending Pictures

I wonder why most stars now you have to send a photograph to get signed. They use to provide their own.

Because to many people used them for free autographs :/ that is why the hobby has become so hard because to many people are making this hobby a way to earn money

Many still do provide photos but I think the hobby has turned more towards fans sending photos. It probably started small with fans sending a photo to stars who are good signers and do provide photos but in the case of sending one a fan has a choice of image. Perhaps a favorite TV show or movie image. Then it probably went to a larger scale with a combination of fan choice and not realizing stars may provide photos.

I am mostly interested in the older stars, and I do not know if they will send their own pic or not.

You can always try sending a LOR
and trying that way it's a lot cheaper
