Rule 1.09 of the official major league bseball rules states, in part, that the baseball will weigh not less than 5 oz. nor more than 5.25 oz.

by the way is 1 oz. a pound? Aka. 28 grams?

1 ounce = 28.3495231 grammes (grams), and there are 16 ounces in a pound.
Therefore a 5 ounce baseball weighs about 141 grammes (grams).
