I say this is great! I already ripped up my secretarial signed clown photo of Lewis!

I hoped the Ed O'Neill and Dick Van Dyke signings would trigger other attempts at tough signers. Keep them coming!

Jerry is well known to celebrity collectors as a tough signer. He doesn't like to sign in-person and has the same secretary signing for him for years. At least the photos of him and Dean Martin aren't technically ruined by fakes. LOL. Martin used a secretary too.

The scene in the King of Comedy movie, where a lady asks him for an autograph and he refuses and she gets angry at him, is actually based on a real life situation for him. He just dislikes signing autographs. In 2005 he did a book signing for a book about he and Dean Martin. He did a speaking but no public signing. Couldn't even be bothered to do that! They were pre-signed as "Jerry" and of course, the autographs don't match the ttm.

For those unfamiliar with Todd, he is a great guy. He has been doing signings for years. He's an experienced collector and though I've been collecting for 15 years, when I'm stumped about a celebrities signing habits, I turn to Todd for advice. I know he is excited to be helping others obtain authentic autographs of Ed O'Neill, Dick Van Dyke and now Jerry Lewis!

Jerry's ttms are authentic!

No, sorry they aren't. They are "similar" but experienced collectors know Jerry hates doing autographs. In-person collectors, and long time ttm collectors know. He wouldn't even do the book signings in 2005. The best fans could get were scribbled "Jerry" autographs.

Back in the day, when people were finding out about Dean Martin's secretarials people were pissed the secretary ruined their photo signed by Jerry. Years later, they came to the conclusion, it's alright as Jerry's were fake too!

When the autographs start coming back from the Dick Van Dyke and Jerry Lewis private signing, people will realize the ttms are fakes. Thankfully, we have this chance to obtain real autographs (I luckily obtains a signed book in 2005 from his NJ book tour) as both men are nearing 90 and most likely will never do anything similar to a signing.

I'm sure the price will be high, like the price for the Van Dyke signing is. These guys don't do ttm and getting them to sign is costly on the promoters part.

Unless you happen to see Jerry in-person and he is willing (and he usually isn't) too sign, this will be the only current way to get his autograph.

Paypal is due to Todd tomorrow, March 12.

I know I would be disappointed if I missed out on this one! But, as it seems some are "happy" with secretarial autographs, I guess not everyone would be disappointed not having Jerry's REAL autograph.

If it's Hwood Collector Show I won't deal with them.......

Going to a collectors show is not a 'private signing'. Its a public signing that jerry might not even show up at. Are you guaranteeing every bodies money back if he doesn't make it?

The cutoff date has already passed.

I'm not doing the signing. Anyone with questions could/could have checked out Todd's site (he's helping obtain through the private signing).

He has posted a picture of the person doing the signing, with Lewis, on his facebook.

Signing is March 18. When I get the autograph photos I ordered I'll post autographs.
