okay I'm not sure if this is true? I heard that you could email some celebrities and request an autograph. I heard they will provide their own photo and all, is this true? Has anyone has success from doing this? Thanks so much! :)

You can't really email celebrities, but you can email their managers or other people they work for and ask for an autograph of the celebrity. Most of the time, it's hard to find the email addresses. For example, Judge Judy, Florida Georgia Line, and Paula Deen all have email addresses you can send to. You can find them here on the website.

It is true to some degree but it's not a great number of authentic. Some are pre-print or autopen and some emails will result in a photo to download (laughs!).

One thing that I don't think newer collectors realize is that many celebrities will send fans a photo if they send a 9x12 envelope. All I seem to see on here anymore is photos sent to celebrities, many which are low-grainy quality and very small in size. Over time, the effort to save a few dollars in postage will mean less than the lack of appeal in the custom made computer photos. Back in my starting days, almost all celebrities would send photos to fans (whether real or secretarial, at least they were supplied to us). Now, I rarely read about celebrities sending photos because it's all fan supplied. I think it's gotten to the point where the newer collector doesn't even realize celebrities have 8x10 photos to send.
