Hi I am new at getting photos signed and I printed some at Wal-Mart and they told me I cant print there anymore because the pictures are copyrighted. I have some questions which I hope can be answered.
1. How is Costco photos when printed? And how are they about copyrghts as I print baseball, car racing and Politicians portraits which are in public domain via under the pictures on Wikipedia.
2. Where is the best places to print photos from online stores?
3. How can I tell if a picture is copyrighted or the place I print the photo can tell?
Thanks for the help.

Most celebrities will send you a signed photo so really you don't have to worry about sending photos.
It seems like some on this site don't realize celebrities have 8x10s on hand to be sent to fans.
Also, as an alternative to photos and worrying about copyrights is buying DVDs and sending the inserts for signing. Walmart, target, Ollie's, Rose's and other stores sell DVDs as low as $4-5. If you don't see what you're looking for there, Barnes & Nobel and Amazon also have some cheap DVDs.

Did you not even read the post?
@poster I also had the issues with the copy right issues... So it's frustrating, there are some online sites that'll do free firsts 50 4x6 pics just gotta pay for shipping.

Also not true that most celebs have pictures.. I sent to Austin Mahone, got nothing. Sent again with two pictures. I got the two back signed. It's always better to send something along..

There are some who don't have photos but majority should have a supply handy for publicity purposes more so than autographs.
I just hate to see so many threads in the feedback section of fans sending the grainy, 3x5 photos because either they don't know celebrities (many times) will send 8x10 photos, or because they don't want to use the amount of postage required for larger sized responses.
To each their own, I guess...

I personally don't like 8x10's but when I print pictures I try to use high quality photos..
