Right now I'm only spending about $80-$90 a month on stamps. I work all the time now so I don't get to write as much as I did 10 years ago when I was a teenager. lol

More than I want to spend! :(

That sounds a bit much, how many requests does that cover? For me the barest request I send usually costs $2. If I send photos the cost goes up.

Hard backed envelope 40p

Hard plastic reinforcement board to prevent damage 40p

Thin plastic mailer to wrap around Hard backed envelope (making the parcel lighter than it would be if you use another envelope) 10p

Highest quality photographs 50p (each, depending on size of photo - 12x8 = 50p)

Shipping fee's to and from the recipient are variable, estimating £3.50 for secure delivery to and from is dependant on how many stamps you require on the parcel.

Overseas will be around £10.00 for the size and weight of 1-3 12x8 Photo(s) including envelope, plastic mailer, hard board and global forever stamps.

It can be expensive though this way is efficient to prevent damage.

Each one of my requests costs me about 5 dollars for postage, rigid photo mailers for the sase and ink for my printer and photo paper. I only send out 4 to 6 requests per month average sometimes less and sometimes up to 8 so only costs me around $20.00 to $40.00 per month total.

I have changed to sending SASE with every letter so I have to send more stamps. I send about 25-30 letters a month. The bigger envelope gets 2 stamps and the smaller envelope gets 1. In January I spent way more then $90 because everyone I wrote to are from the UK.

40p or 40 pence, or 40 pennies is likely 60-75cents estimated.

I've heard of people "strategically" positioning stamps on the return envelope so that's they aren't as likely to be post marked & can be recycled  [us]

Halves the postage I guess & saves trees? :?
