Out of curiosity, have any of you ever tried to collect the whole cast from a favorite movie (NOT a TV series, I know a lot of you are doing that)?

I know that there are a lot of people who don’t sign through the mail, so that can be a challenge.

I tried for the cast of The Sound of Music, Narnia and LOTR but only got a couple back for each one.

Anyone tried for a whole cast and succeeded?

im going for the whole Star Wars cast from every film, those who are still alive anyway.
Got around 40 up to now and letters sent of to most of the rest

It depends what you count as 'cast'... I mean, do you mean all those with SPEAKING parts?
Do you mean EVERYONE including extras?
Do you mean those who actually have names? lol

I have many from LOTR (you can see the list in my site), most of the main Narnia ones and King Arthur ones.. also many from POTC.. but I would never write a letter to an extra or anything like that, I don't really see the point in collecting every single person.

I have to agree that sending a letter to every extra and background person in a movie would be a waste of time, I was meaning more like just the main characters.

Has there ever been a movie that you loved so much that you said, "I want to write everyone!"?

It's probably just a preference thing, there are some characters I don't like in movies and actors I know don't respond so I wouldn't waste money writing to them.

I read somewhere that theres 200 cast members who appeared on the star wars films who are alive today.
By cast members I mean those whos character has got a name. Doesnt matter whether they had a speaking part or not as long as their characters appeared elsewhere in the SW verse.
Like Bossk, didnt have a huge part in the movies but has appeared in alot of the comics and books.

It is no mean feat to amass a whole cast collection

I have got "most" of the cast of the Harry Potter movies now, and (as of today) I have got autos from all four children in the Narnia movie.

I have also got quite a few full cast sets of tv shows.

I got a movie poster signed by the whole cast of kids in america including the director through email a while back but it was the last one they had, i was very lucky. I am a huge gregory smith fan and was thrilled

i would like to get as many as i can from Trainspotting, so far ive got 2 and requests sent out to another 3 people from it, its only a small cast though really. who knows...might do it one day apart from that i havent really seen a film where ive thought after that id like to get the whole cast, just one or two people

I'm trying for the whole cast of Eragon and have not yet received a response from those I've written to.
