so back in August of 2014 and then in December of 2014. I sent an 8x10 to both Idina Menzel and Taylor Swift. i have not recieved anything back yet.
i know its takes at least six months, but i am curious how long. cause it seems like its taking forever on Menzels. i sent it to the address provided by fanmail.biz
any ideas?

Re: help
In this hobby there are people who don't reply to fanmail.
Unfortunately, you have written to two stars who I have not seen a success from.
The more popular the person the more fanmail they probably receive and the bigger chance that they don't reply.
Sorry for the bad news.

did Swift quit with the PP'ed letters then? I haven't kept up with her habits in recent years.BossC wrote:In this hobby there are people who don't reply to fanmail.

Awww, how cute. Someone who thinks that people will be dumb enough to believe that they're me, despite the blatant period & completely different post numbers.
And, of course, the obvious fact that if, if it were me, I would've edited the post, not replied to it. Not to mention it's not necessarily true that "nobody but her will know why she signed it twice" & I'm smart enough to know that.
Not to mention the grammatical mistakes.
But, please, carry on. You can help me find more people to add to my ignore list. I don't need to be bothered reading posts by users that are stupid enough to believe that these 2 accounts are the same. I appreciate the help in weeding out the ****. So thank you.

what really sucks is, i used my own purchased 8x10s that i sent. i spent money on them and the shipping and handling, with the self addressed return envelope. paid close to $50 for each. now i am out $100
Re: help
1) You overpaid. There is absolutely no reason that two requests should cost anywhere near close to $100.mvieguy wrote:BossC wrote:In this hobby there are people who don't reply to fanmail.

2) You should have done your research BEFORE sending. You didn't.
Both of those are your own fault.

Re: help
How does that work, you can print 12x8's for 50p GBP or $1.00 USD so factoring in shipping fees I can't see how you spent so much sending a couple of requests?
If you really did spend that much then its an expensive lesson, though it sounds highly unlikely its possible on spending so much.
Always research requests first too, don't send blind unless you simply can't find any previous success' and even then you can still ask before sending to see what others advise.
Not to mention that there is not one celebrity who is obliged to sign for you, so you should send and not expect a response, you may never get one.
Although highly unlikely with Taylor Swift, never say never because yours might just get through, if it doesn't then you just accept it and move on, or try and meet at a show, after party, back stage or the likes.
Good luck in future.

Meeting her isn't easy (unless you can shell out big money) because of the stalker problems.fromuk2014 wrote:Although highly unlikely with Taylor Swift, never say never because yours might just get through, if it doesn't then you just accept it and move on, or try and meet at a show, after party, back stage or the likes.
TTM is actually the best way to go. Every so often, her people stock (what seem to be) pre-signed photos. It's often written off as a myth when it's brought up on here, and I wouldn't believe it myself if I didn't have one.
Even then, I haven't seen a (presumably) authentic TTM in years though besides those; she hasn't signed things sent to her in a VERY long time.
