Looking into but not sure which printer or what the cost will be.

Anyone do it?

Ink can get expensive! So I use a local store.

But I have a Kodak printer that can do great photos for emergencies.

Ink is expensive, just keep that in mind! and sometimes it takes a few attempts to get out a good picture, 100 prints doesn't equal 100 good ones. I wouldn't call it a 'cheap solution' but then, it depends on your alternatives

Its worth ordering online in bulk, ultimately cheaper too.

I have a Canon Pixma ip8750 printer and buy Marrutt printer paper as it's archival rated. The ink is expensive but the photos always come out looking fantastic.
