I have noticed that some people have hundreds of them and some have very little. I noticed i got one the other day, is this because i had some feedback? But i posted another one yesterday and didn't get a point for it
i know there's probably a link you will give me explaining it all so i'm sorry to be an idiot.

Hello,
users can give each other reputation points whenever they have a comment for another user (it can be both positive or negative) It isn't only for when receiving feedback.
Hope this helps

Hi hannah_girl
If you have seen a post that you think is really helpful (or really bad) that you wish to give a

or

point to, you will first need to locate the

or

buttons for the particular poster at that particular post.
The

and

buttons are located under a person's avatar (although when you look at your avatar you'll see that you can't vote for yourself!).
To give them a

or

point click on the relevant button, add a comment and click submit. You've just given them a +1 or -1 point
I hope this helps. If you have any further queries, don't hesitate to ask
