deleted topics

ive recently noticed that a few success that ive posted on the site. Alot of these been ones where no success has been reported before have been deleted.
Why is this please since I posted the successes exactly the same way as ive posted all of my others which havent been deleted.

i posted a VV success and it got locked for no reason...

There are some successes I would like to post questions on, to the person who recieved the autograph but I can't because it's locked and I hate the PM system

There was a Sophia Myles one quite a while ago. When I posted it there was no other success posted for her on the site. And also a success from Philip Pullman (the author) and there hasnt been any success posted for him other than mine which ended up been deleted.

Hi all
The site is currently undergoing some changes, and from time to time, there are some minor problems.
One such probelm is the deletion of a post here and there. It happens. If it happens, just simply re-post it.
Obviously if it was deleted due to an argument, fight, etc, then by NO MEANS re-post it.

Over the past few months it has been necessary to reinstate the forum from backups on a couple of occasions. Once was due to hackers geting into the database, and once due to a server failure.
The problem with this is that the forum is backed-up daily, so when it has been necessary to reinstate it from backup, the copy used can be anything from 0-24 hours old. Unfortunately this meant that we lost several posts each time on the forum (I lost about 40 posts myself !!! :x )
I am guessing that some of these missing posts are due to these problems. Sorry for any inconvenience, but occasionally problems like this are unavoidable

Posts in the Via Venue forum are locked after 1 month to keep the forum under control.

I deleted about 4 or 5 of your posts (after 1 week) because they contained no address, no sent/received dates and because you did not reply to the Moderator.
Posts in the feedback & Via Venue forums are locked after 1 month.
