CAA?Does this address really work for celebrities?

Hey,
I was just wondering if CAA really works when writing to a celebrity?I have heard that it's not very good at responding to requests.I have been wanting to write to Clive Owen(played Arthur from King Arthur 2004) for soem time now and his address is with the CAA and I'm not sure if it will work due to alot of the rumors.Could someone please help me out?Thanks!

I've only written via there once and havn't got anything back.
Now you mention it, there are various websites which list that the address has been tried but nothing has been received back.

who did you try writing to and when did you send it?I have seen numerous websites with the same address and with people who have tried it too,but never received anything.I tried there I think only 2 times,but still nothing.I wonder why they never respond? I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks that it doesn't work too well.

I wrote to Billy Crudup via CAA. He was one of the main characters in Almost Famous.
I kind of knew that very few successes had come from there but thought I might be one of the lucky people who got something back. So far nothing though. Its a shame I wasted an IRC on that, as he's now in a play in New York which I was much more likely to get a success from.

I know exactly what you mean.....I wasted my IRC's as well.Well maybe your right barmy_army008,maybe there are some lucky ones who actually got something back.I know now that I am not going to be trying that address anymore.

and they represent some of the best actors/ actresses so its annoying when you find out that they are not going to reply!!!

I spoke to Hayden Christensens agent at CAA and said I hadn't had any luck. He said that all letters are forwarded to him. So perhaps its just the celebrities that arent signing? Does seem a bit of a co-incidence thou that all the stars represented by CAA don't sign at all.

But there are PLENTY of other stars with different agencies that dont send back too.
