I was surfing the forum a few days ago and saw a reply to a thread by someone saying that USPS didn’t allow envelopes with tape on them is this true?

I read that too, but the other day I RECEIVED a letter from the US with tape on it. So I really don't no. And why would they make that rule anyway?

yeah I thought it was odd if you can send them with tape on it would save using stickers all the time.

I've always taped mine and still do.
Does anyone know the reason if this is true?

the only thing Ive heard about tape is that you cant put it over the stamps. I always tape my envelops shut just to be sure they dont come open. and I have received successes where they have taped my address on their envelope
