you can check by the thickness of the marker used, also if its a pen you can see the indents on the back of the picture. there are little "ticks" from a sharpie marker and you can normally see it at the end of the letter and with a pp if there's a picture sent to you it may have the document name on the back and it usually has whatever the name is _signed_ if this helps you out let me know/

Hi mads007,

Here are some ways to tell if you autograph is authentic & not a Pre-print.

First of all, one way to tell if an autograph is a pre-print is to hold the picture under a light. If the signature blends in with the picture then you have a pre-print. Also with a pre-print, the signature always looks the same because a pre-print is just a copy of a real autograph.

huh

Basically put, when you examine a pre-print under a light, the signature will look like it's part of the picture because it is under the gloss. To read more about pre-prints goto http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=9991 .

Also a pre-print will look the same & also the signature will always be in the same place because a pre-print is just a copy of an autograph. With a pre-print, a celebrity signs one photo & copies are made from that photo.
