Hey! Well when I write a letter to a celebrity I tell them what movies or songs I like of theirs and then say ' I was wondering if you could send me an autographed picture. I would really appreciate it. ' Thats how I do it. I hope that helps

Be honest and polite. Write a short letter (about a page) And whatever you DON'T end your letter with. You're #1 fan or your best fan. Celebreties have heard that one before.

I always write a short letter then at the bottom put Please can i have your autograph or a signed photo ?
then thank them for reading my letter, so it ends politely !
Worked for me so far

Whenever I request for an autograph, I type a short letter and finish with 'please may I have a signed photograph. Good luck for the future'.

I write my letter, then at the end I usually say, "If it's not too much trouble, could I please get an autograph? I would really appreciate it. Thanks and good luck with everything!"

Yeah.. I'm trying to find another way to word what everyone else has written ..
In other words, I end mine like everyone elses' as well

Works like a charm ;)
And I always write 'from your number one fan in Korea'

they can't have had THAT too many times before..

yeah..
actually, I remember writing it once on this humongous pink letter to Johnny Depp.. I laughed at my own letter (because of the #1 thing) that I'd spent over 4 hours on, but didn't want to use white-out on it and sent it like that. Never used it since.
I just use 'sincerely' or 'looking forward to your next movie,' or whatever

sure it's more common, but it's less irritating.
