How long do you wait before you consider it a fail?

I'm collecting a TV series, and I'm wondering how long you wait until you consider it a fail and try again?
TIA

I usually try to wait 8-10 months before trying again but it also depends on the address tried. For agency I'll give a lot of time but VV, I only wait until the address is no longer valid.
Also I generally only try one letter to an address-I would hate for an agent to get tired of me sending a letter every 8 months.
Unfortunately in this hobby some people just don't sign. Who are you wanting to write again?

About a year is when I'd consider trying again but I don't completely write it off as a fail because there's people on this site who've had successes that took 2+ years.

When they have no oxygen left... Then it's a fail. Example... Iron Sheik & M. Emmit Walsh were mailed out 2009, I got them both back around 2014. Even Dick Clark's agent sent me a PP and a nice letter after he passed away. Late success will always work. My biggest issues are with J Lo and NFL Jay Cutler. 2 to 3 years and they send an AP or a PP.
