Bad News For IP Collectors

Unread post by MW1221 »

Over Easter I went down to Pigeon Forge, TN and found this nice autograph shop. The owner was a nice man and we got to talking for 2 or 3 hours. Autograph collecting is this man's job. He flies around the country hunting for autographs. He doesn't have to look very far. In a sad twist of fate, celebrity's management and security personnel now hire autograph dealers for security. When you see on television or in person at the Ivy or other places where the celebrity is signing and walking, it's all FAKE. The dealers are getting them to there car and forming a barrier so that true fans like us don't get close.

Also, IP collectors, politeness is key. The same dealer I taalked once asked Mr. Jack Nicholson the worst thing about being a celebrity. His response was "people calling me Jack". ALWAYS when greeting a celebrity say Mr. if it's a male or Miss if if t's a female, REGADLESS of age or martial status. It's the polite thing to do.

Mods, if this should be in IP please move it, It seemed like that was more for successes. Thank you.
