I was just wondering how should I go about approaching a celebrity if i saw one in the street and really wanted to get a photo taken with them or an autograph?
I know i shouldn't approach them if they look like they are busy or are doing an activity that really is a personal thing.
But I mean if i saw them leaving a place or walkingin the street how should i go about approaching them?

Hi Sai
Well, if they are not busy or doing something personal (like talking on the phone) I'd just walk up to them and politely introduce myself and let them know I'm a fan. After that you can judge by their reaction if they're in the mood to get a photo taken or to give an autograph.

Yeah if they are not busy with someone, just go up to them and politely say "Excuse me XXXX, could you please sign this for me?" & if they do.. make sure to say "Thank You"

I wouldn't greet them with a Mr, Mrs or Ms if I saw them on the street as it's so professional and official. At premieres, you tend to find the autograph sellers (the ones that sell autographs for hundreds of pounds) always call celebrities with a title (at the King Kong premiere, Ms Watts and Mr Brody) and their reaction was not to sign for those people as they knew that because they were acting so polite they could not be actual fans.
And plus, if I were famous, I would actually hate to be called 'Miss' and then my surname - if you're a fan - act casual...they'll know who the real fans are by how you approach them.

Well unfortunately for me I do not live nearby any place that any celebrity (or any person in their right mind) would care to visit >_>.

I know a man that helps Jack Nicholson's security. He once asked him what the worst thing about being famous was. He replied, "people calling me Jack." I guess it depends on the celebrity. Ms. and Mr. (I wouldn't recommend Mrs., even if they're married) are terms of respect, not for only professional setting. Be courteous.

I think you've just got to be wary - most celebrities are fine with you calling them by their names because they are just people, like us.
