I have never sent any fan mail to ask for an autograph however i plan on doing so soon. I was wondering if its "too much" to ask for a personalised autograph as i see some celebs to personalie them while others don't. Would this have any effect on the chance of them sending one(like would it make my chance smaller) also has anyone done this and suceeded? Thank you
also what size envelope is it best to send? A5 or A4 or just the normal small white one

I'm not sure what the success rate is, but I always ask for a personalized photo. Some celebs are skeptical of having their autographs sold on eBay and stuff, so in a way, it reassures them that you're not going to sell it. Some celebs don't personalize, others do.
I'm not sure what the sizes are, but A4 (9x12) would be the best.

thats true so it can't hurt to ask i guess! Thanks for the help. i bought some A5 envelopes today though so hopefully it doesn't effect the chance of them replying. Althogh im gonna buy some A4 soon

I never ask for personalized photos for this reason. Some celebritys have PP's that they send out. If you ask for a personalized photo they wont send you anything not even a PP. And then some celbritys sign authentic photos and if you ask for a personalized one u wont get anything back. You can choose whatever you like but I just prefer asking for an autograph because whatever I get I will be happy with it. Hope this helps
