I'm having trouble deciding if this seller's 'autographs' are genuine. Some look 100% genuine and some look 100% fake. The fact that their status is 'private' doesn't convince me.

Avoid. Private bidding combined with 24 hour auctions are classic fraudster techniques, it enables them to sell many more items in a much shorter time.
Some of them are laughably bad too.
