I have been reading the posts on the board and have noticed that some of you say you have sent gifts to celebrities you would like an autograph from. I guess I don't understand the point of it. Famous people are the first to say that they don't want you spending your money on them directly. Rather, they would like you to see their films/plays or buy their music. Often times, they even suggest a charity of theirs to donate to.
I could understand if you made something for the person that would be different. However, buying a present for them seems like a waste of money. They may never get it and you will be hurt that they never responsed to your generous nature.
I don't mean to criticize anyone. Spend your money anyway you like, but I thought maybe I am missing something?

Ya I agree but I guess if you had a celebrity you were a huge fan of that you might want to send something to them to show your appreciation.
