Changing autographs

Do you think that celebs would change how they autograph? For instance, they decide that they like to write their name a different way, and stick with that, therefore throwing off autograph collectors?

They change it because they want to, not to "throw off collectors". Its just something people do sometimes, I've done it myself a couple of times before I stuck with my current signature.

automusicgraph did not say that they change them "to" throw off collectors, he said that they change their autograph and "therefor" throw off collectors :)

And in answer to your question, yes celebrities do sometimes change how they autograph, but not very often. If you have your own autograph or signature then it sort of sticks ^^

some do
a lot do if they start young and then change as they get older
or change it to save time
example "annasophia robb" to "as robb"

Miley Cyrus does for sure. ;)
Haha, I myself like to change the way I sign my name.
I haven't found one that I really like yet so I always vary them :D

Sometimes they change it. Probably because they're sick of it or just want an overall change. It might confuse people but, as long as it's confirmed authentic..

Elvis did it. When he was younger it was pretty much print, and he just signed Elvis, like at the peak of his career. As he got older, it turned to be Elvis Presley and it was more of a signature.

Yeah, they do. Look at Johnny Cash. The printed signature in his autobiography is long and drawn out as with some of the autographs he's signed. The auto's that my mom and grandfather have are way different. But they were both recieved in person.
It's a natural thing to do, I've made changes here and there to mine as well, and I probably still will.

Best example= Keira Knightley.

Pirates 1 Premiere- Kiera Knigtley
Pirates 2 Premiere- Kiera K
Pirates 3 Premiere- KK
Attonement Premiere- K

Her signature has changed dramatically IP since she first rose to stardom.

That's so true. I never thought of her. And the autos people get in the mail have the full "Keira Knightley" on them right? I wouldn't know, since I've never gotten anything back personally.

Yes, TTM sucesses all have a full signature, which leads me to believe that they are secretarials.

Orlando Bloom is another good example. Started off with his full name, then O Bloom, now IP you just get 'OB'.
