just wondering

Unread post by think_im_in_love »

Just wondering but I've read a lot of posts on here talking about having sent to someone, and gotten an autograph back. But then sending out another request. Wouldn't doing things like that, actually make somebody start sending out PPs or APs. If everyone did it, then it wouldn't by like fans just wanting an autograph. It's like people becoming greedy. Is it common for people to do it, if they already have their autograph?

I guess some people do that. Personally I find it rude to send another request right away. I think you should wait 6+ months before you send another request.

I agree, I dont think you should request from the same person after you've already received their autograph..

Yeah I've noticed that a lot of people seem to do it. I don't agree with it, and find it rude and greedy if you have their auto already.

I've only done it once, and honestly it was because I forgot I had Angela Lansbury's signature on an index card (I used to only collect signatures on index cards).

I do have 2 of Luciano Pavarotti's autographs - my first was TTM and the other was in person. I had the chance to get his autograph in person, and I was able to talk to hiim for a few minutes back when he was doing his Farewell Tour.
Favorite Autographs: Luciano Pavarotti (IP), Joan Baez, Dorothy Hammill (IP)

I have only written to one actress twice and that was Lauren Bacall. I wrote to her and she sent me a personalised photo but it was a recent photo and I wanted one of her in her younger days. I wrote again, this time sending my own photo and explained that the photo I had enclosed was my favourite and it would mean a lot to me if she would sign it and she did!
