Correctly counting how many autographs...

I am not really sure which way I would count autographs...

is it..

1) count how many signatures you have?

2) count how many signed objects you have?

3) or none of the above?

because i have one paper with 4 autographs and i dont really know if i should count 1 or 4....

If a piece of paper is signed by 4 people, its 4 autographs, not one.

I have a football shirt signed by 27 players, and no way would I ever consider counting it as one autograph!

I consider every different celebrities autograph as 1. Not any PP's, AP's, or secretarials. I don't count anything from SFM, CM, or fanclubs either. I have game used baseball bats, jerseys, balls, wrestling ring worn items, ring used pieces of the mat, and various other related items signed by multiple celebrities/athletes and I count each person as 1.
Not every member does it my way. It's your own opinion. I personally think it should only be authentic autographs you recieved by using this site, or by sending fanmail in general. I have well over 15,000 autographs, but my count here is about 350.

I could all my authentics, PPs, APs, secreterials.. Whatever I get. I do NOT, however, count any of my SFM successes. If I did, I would probably be well over 70 autographs. But seeing those are from SFM only..I don't count them really.

Why do you count "Regular" PPs, but not SFM ones?

I count how many signatures I have. I agree with Andy, I have a signed t-shirt by 4 Band Member of ALO and 1 by Matt Costa so I count that as 5 autographs, not 1.

But what do you do if you have for example 2 autographs from one person, do you count it as one or as 2? I'm pretty unsure about this point...

yeah..i have 3 from robin williams but i think that may be three....any help???

If you have more than one of a celeb, then its how many you have.

Example - 3 Robin Williams autos is 3 autographs, not one.
