Hi, I'm New

Unread post by Geral_Train »

I have been collecting autographs since 2002. I have 30 but mainly from buying them at conventions which can get pretty expensive. The most I ever paid for one is from Jeremy Renner which was $100. Since it can get very expensive, I'm happy I found this site

Were the signed in person autographed photos obtained by you? If so, I'm curious as to why you would have them authenticated. Provenance is just as important. For example, I have a photo signed by Avery Brooks (and Roy Bridges, an astronaut who gave him an award.) If you know Brooks' signature, you can tell the difference between his and his secretary's. I didn't have it authenticated, but I kept the ticket from the convention allowing me to get Brooks' signature.

Yes, I was on hand, but I like to authenticate to prove to others that the autographs are real. Sometimes, if possible, Ill even get a picture of my meeting with the celebrity

Did you pay for the authentication? If I sell/give away my photos, all I have to do is tell the person where it is was I got the autograph, if it was an in-person signature. That usually suffices.
