I´ve seen a few autographs, where the iscription was "Thank you for your lovely letter" or something of that kind. It never happened to me. And I´m wondering how I should write such a "lovely leter". Any ideas?

IDK if there really is a way to write a lovely letter, but you could make it really personal and say why you love the celebrity. It all really depends on who the person is that your sending to in my opinion.

Hello Sammya!
I always write very personal letters. {thumb2} I include in my letters (all are different for each of my favourite celebrities):
- my family
- my friends
- my school/occupation
- my pets
- my hobbies
- my favourite movie/project/song of the celebrity
- my birthday
Anything that you think might interest someone!

You can even write funny experiences that happened to you!

I've got some very nice replies from actors, for example Josh Duhamel (he wrote "Happy 16th Lizanne!") and Eric Mabius (from "Ugly Betty") wrote a long note for me! {love}
Good luck Sammya! :razz:
Regards,
Lizanne

Hi there

I agree with Danny, it really depends on who you're writing to. Most celebs don't even read the letters they recieve, they just get told so-and-so wants an autograph

However, a 'lovely letter', would be something thats briefly about yourself (I keep it to 6 or 7 lines), and the rest of your writing should stroke the celeb's ego - its about them, them and them! {thumb2}

I'm sure there is no way to write a "lovely letter" lol. But all I can say is to be honest in your letter to the celebrity and if they like it enough they may thank you for said letter. That's all the advice I can give.

Id say you have to think new and creative thoughts and make your letter stand out from the crowd. Give it a special touch that only you can give it
Ive had a fewof those. My letters were personal and quite long - so for me it was more than the regular 1 size letter.

You can't force a reply like that. You shouldnt even be aiming for that response.
If you like the celeb, and your letter comes across as genuine, and the celeb likes the letter (depending on MANY things, half the celebs dont even READ their fanmail), then theres a possibility of getting that response.
I think I've had one response saying "thanks for your lovely letter" in the last 2 years.
Most people send a generic letter to every celeb without realising it. Maybe its because a lot of people follow the "basic fanmail formula", I dont know.
If you write heartfelt, genuine letters, the celebs (those who read it anyway) will pick up on it.
If you try to force it, they'll pick up on that too.
Just write your letter, and be thankful if you get that kind of response. Dont write just to try and get it.

I've recieved lots of responses like that. I tend to write to older actors and actresses and they have more time to show their appreciation than those who recieve a hundred letters a day. I'm particualrly proud of my Last Of The Summer Wine collection. I recieved handwritten letters from Jean Fergusson, Robert Fyfe & Sarah Thomas all complimenting me on my letters. I love that programme as I've watched it since I was a baby so it was easy to write long, detailed letters.
Others I have recieved letters or thank you notes from are
Matthew Kelly
David Gest
Chris Tarrant
Torvill & Dean
Anton Du Beke
Lesley Garrett
Phil Nixon
Rita Rogers
Peter Firmin
Jimmy Cricket
Michael Bond
Jane Cox
Anne Reid
Dale Winton
Some are scanned on my website
http://www.freewebs.com/caribbean-queen but I haven't got round to adding some of them.

I mostly get something like that but I never ask for it though. The only way is to write from your heart..say some really sweet words and they'll be touched.

When I wrote to Billie (who's someone I really look up to) I took a long time planning what to say, i thought I overdid it but she replied with a handwritten letter and a photo saying *goes to check* 'Thank you so much for your lovely card and good wishes' and some more answering my questions. If you write it and, as every one else has said, really mean what you say; the celebs will pick up on it. Billie even remembered mine and it always make me want to write somehing memorable for celebs, to make my letter stand out from all the rest and let my personality come across in my writing.
Thats mt two cents {thumb2}
