Canada-USA how many stamps and cost

Hi guys. I'm really new here. I've been browsing the forum here for a few days and i'm really liking what i'm seeing! I used to be HUGE into autograph collecting 2 years ago and probably have over 1,000 autographs from some of the most incredible people.

I used to send to Canadian addresses all the time and $1.60 in Canadian stamps would cover me for the SASE from Canada to the USA. I'm sure that the prices have gone up...

My question is: How much does it cost in stamps to make sure the postage is covered if the return envelope has a photo and cardboard backing in it?

Hi Sean, Welcome to the forum.

To answer your question, the best and most accurate way of finding out is to go to your local post office with the item you want to send, and have them give you the correct amount of stamps needed. Unfortunately prices did go up a bit the last few years.

I think you misunderstood me or maybe i just didn't explain it well enough. I live in the U.S. and sure i can find out how much it costs to send it to Canada, but i want to ensure that i have enough postage coming back to the U.S. from Canada and for that i need to have Canadian stamps on the SASE.

U.S. post offices do not sell Canadian stamps as far as i know of or at least mine doesn't anyway...So, that's why i wanted to find out how much it would cost in Canadian stamps to send back to me.

You didn't say where you were from. :razz: Anyways the answer still kinda goes, in your case check the Canadian post office online for international rates like megadroog did for you.

Thanks everyone for their help. I'll have to test the waters the first couple of times and see what happens. I know i used to include $2.00 in with my letter at desperate times when i ran out of stamps and they usually were pretty good about sending it back even had a couple of people return my money back to me!
