Hi everyone,
I am new to this here, and hope to get some help from everyone, as well as helping other collectors!
I have just started to buy quite a few of soccer trading-cards, and I love to get them signed. But I don't know where to start, and especially when. What is the best time to send requests to players? After the European Championship, or will they take some weeks off before returning to the sports? Are there any clubs that won't forward mail? Are there also any players who don't sign? For example, I never saw a success with Thierry Henry. I also want only those trading-cards signed, as they're easy to keep. Do you think that the players will sign them, or rather send out pre-signed pictures?
Any input and help is more than welcome, thank you all so very much!

Most players in the English Premier League will sign cards you send them, but they also have their own pics which they send - a lot depends on the individual player. However, Arsenal players only sign if you send a photo purchased off their website, and only 1 autograph every 3 seasons.Karloff wrote:Hi everyone,

As for Thierry Henry, he did sign at Arsenal, but now hes at Barcelona, who send secretarials for all their players - as do AC Milan, Real Madrid and Juventus.
I only send during the season, and no more than 2 weeks before the season starts. Others send all year round, I doubt it matters as their mail will still be there when they get back from holiday.

Hey Andy, thanks for your quick answer. Are really autographs from Barcelona, Milan, Real Madrid and Juventus fake autographs? How do you know? This sucks big time, as they have a lot of players I would love to get

Re: Signed soccer / football cards
Short answer is that the stuff they send looks nothing like any known authentics, they even make mistakes on the autographs too, for example looping them the wrong way around. If they were legit, then the big dealers would be writing to them to get autographs and selling for a heft price - but they dont.Karloff wrote:Hey Andy, thanks for your quick answer. Hi there,
thanks for your answer! Sorry to be late in replying but I have been on holiday for a few days
I now want to write some players of the UEFA EM 2008 who already are out of the games, like Alexander Frei, Jan Koller, Petr Cech and so on. What addresses should I use? C/o their clubs, or at their private addresses or anything? Or should I wait a few more weeks? Thanks all for your help!
By the way, do Eusebio and Pelé sign? I couldn't find any records for them on here. And will Didier Drogba sign my trading-card? Thanks again!

Re: Signed soccer / football cards
you should send them to their club address but i think i few players will be moving in july so you should wait to see who is going where
check my website out http://myautographs01.weebly.com/
Re: Signed soccer / football cards
Alexander Frei = Borussia Dortmund
Jan Koller = FC Nuremberg
Petr Cech = Chelsea
and so on.........
You can just search their clubs on goggle, then search it on fanmail to see if there are addresses of the clubs. If you want to know if they will sign your club apply logic and see if they have signed previous items sent to them...
Good luck and please try to search for it yourself instead of asking everytime as it'll be much easier and quicker for you.
Send it anytime, the players will eventualy go back to their clubs...
