Possible way to get an athletes autograph

I found a way that you can get a autograph from a athlete if the company e-mails you back and all. I e-mailed Blackbox Distribution(a skateboarding company that owns Zero, Fallen, Mystery and Slave) and asked them if i could get Jamie Thomas's Autograph and wrote to them why i wanted it and they told me to send my address and i would get it in the mail. Im not sure if it will work for any other sports so you should try it.
