Question about calling an agent...

Just wanted to know if it’s OK to call a talent agency to see if an actor is still a client of theirs before you send out a request of it this is not allowed, or unprofessional. Just wondering because I am thinking about sending to some actors who have no feedback so I was just going to call and confirm before I sent out. Is this ok or frowned upon? Anyone done this before?

Hi bennyb98!
Sure, you can call an agent to find that out but isn't it much more conveniant to search the web or better, go to the agency's official website? {thumb2} I normally go to the official website of agencies to find that out, most agencies have a section where you can view their clients.

It's up-to-date and it even gives you the specific agent's name so you can e-mail them too.
Good luck bennyb98!
Regards,
Lizanne

When someones had no feedback and it's been about a month or two, sometimes I email the person/webmaster via their personal websites and just ask "Does ___________ answer mail when sent to ______________? Thanks!"

I called an agent today actually.
I noticed there has been any success coming from JOHNNY WRIGHTs office
So all the CD inserts I sent to him agency, well, i guess I wont get them back.
Dont waste your time sending or writing to Johnny Wrights in Orlando, FL.
Some of the artists he represents include:
Janet Jackson, Jonas Brothers, Stevie Brock, Jordan Knight and many others
