Re: My posts have been deleted AGAIN!!!
To the administrator that said the addresses I posted were fake. How the hell can they be fake if I got successes from them? Do you honestly think that I would post an address that didn't work just so someone could waste their time ad effort and money just to get an RTS?? That's probably the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long long time. As for the person that said the admins are doing there job, how is deleting properly posted success with REAL addresses considered doing there job?

Re: My posts have been deleted AGAIN!!!
There's other fanmail websites that provivde addresses. They just cost money and aren't really like a blog like here. Just google celebrity addresses and you'll find some. I use IMDBPro and this website and I find it helpful!

I agree that this is the best site out there for getting a mailing address for celebs and athletes, but my concern is the Admin & Moderators.... SOME, not all of them seem to be on power trips at times. They have the power to delete a post and if they want to, they will. If it is a double post issue or spam issue, then I understand and appreciate them doing that. Like I said earlier with my Hubie Brown post that was "trashed" 5 minutes after I posted it. I will admit that when I first posted it that I had forgotten to include the address that I used. A few minutes later I noticed it was trashed so I went back and looked at it and realized what I forgot and reposted it with the address so everything was included, but then within 2 minutes it was also “trashed.â€
When I post a success I included what I sent (LOR, photo & SASE), the date I sent it and where I sent it to. If it was not an address that was in the database, then I post the address that I used. If it is a database address, I state I used the address in the database. I also post when I received my photo back, how it was signed and if it was in my SASE. I even scan the photo and post the link for people to see the photo. So my question is.. WHAT DID I DO WRONG????
This is where the power trip comes in to play I believe. I start out each post by saying that "I Do No scan envelopes". I do not put the next few lines in the post, but this is my opinion of the envelope issue. First, it is a waste of my time to scan them. Second, I could care less about the $10. Gift Cert., and 3rd, and mostly... my SASE never has a postmark of where it came from. All that is on my envelope is my name, address, etc (Which would be covered up if scanned). There are 3 stamps on the envelope, and there is the white stripe of paper with a bar code from the post office. The envelope is never stamped from the return city... so see, its not worth the time to scan. Do to all of the post, I know the Admin & Moderator don't read the entire post, so that is the reason I post "I do not scan envelopes" at the beginning.. that will I won’t have the typical feedback of "do you happen to have a scan of the envelope and if so you are in the running........"
A couple months ago I sent a baseball to Pat Gillick. When I received the ball back in my bubble envelope, I placed the ball over my name on the envelope and took a picture of it with my phone. That way it had the ball, the envelope and since it wasn’t a big envelope it has a postmark on it. I posted that photo with the info and I received feedback from the Admin. asking... "Would you happen to have a scan of the envelope that the ball came in, if so you are in the running.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It was right there, a close up shot and I still get that reply. Yet when I message or email the Admin, I never hear back from them with my questions or concerns.
I am never rude or a jerk in my messages to them, but I would like, and deserve an answer to my questions if I am doing something wrong. But to delete a post after 5 minutes when there is nothing wrong, that is just unacceptable. If an Admin or Moderator read this and would like to talk to me and offer me a chance to become a moderators, please feel free. I find this hobby fun and interesting as I have been a collector for over 20 years, but as of late you are taking the fun out of it. That is why I, along with others have decided to stop posting success on here. Why take the time to type everything, just for it to be deleted. One other thing that I have asked about and never get an answer, they always say 1 success per post, yet how is it ok for some people to post a video with 5 or 6 postings, they show the item but thats usually about it. They never give out addresses or anything. Now how is that right, or fair to the rest of us?
I am sorry this was so long, but I do feel better now, lol. Happy Collecting everyone.

Re: My posts have been deleted AGAIN!!!
I probably shouldn't say this, but it seems like there is more feedback in the trash forum than spam. And maybe more good (complete with sending dates and such) feedback in the trash that the feedback section. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

Re: My posts have been deleted AGAIN!!!
I have had many successes removed as well. Haven't bothered to say anything until I saw this post with other complaining about the shady moderators on here. But from what I have read this forum has always it seems been horrible for that. The moderators erase successes so that they can send out to the celebrities thinking that they can get one first if they don't have a rush of fanmail.froggig23 wrote:just dont share them! for some reason they want to send to them before anyone else can! welcome to FANMAIL.MOD

Re: My posts have been deleted AGAIN!!!
to leonel9, You asked me to post an addy I used & gota success with it so that you could prove it to be a fake, are you saying that I'm lieing about my successes? In case you haven't been reading this forum, I'm not the only one that's had their postings deleted. I'm just glad I keep a record of my successes
