Hi there!
I just wondered if you could please help me... I have 20 first class USA stamps (each worth about 46 cents, I think). I live in the UK and was planning on sending Alan Rickman two 8 x 10 photos and a LOR in a large envelope while he is on Broadway in NY. How many stamps would you put on the return envelope, do you think? It will be a large envelope with two 8 x 10 photos hopefully!

Around 5 stamps is what you'll need if you sending 8x10's. Just make sure the photos are NON-Harry Potter, as he won't sign any of those. current price for first class US stamps is .44 cents each, but will jump to .45 in January.

I think he's just not partial to that characer, he likes to be remembered for being other people than just Snape. I went the safe route and sent 'Galaxy Quest' & 'Sense and Sensibility' photos and he personalized and signed those.

I have actually received a Snape photo signed by him. I sent a letter on behalf of my wife and he signed the photo to her. This was via venue a couple of years ago.

I once read a fan's "experience" of meeting him after Private Lives and I remember she mentioned that he was kinda mad at some guy shoving his picture (I think it was an HP one) for an autograph and he said something about it being on Ebay for? sell. So I guess that's the reason.
