Re: NFL TTM Thread
Adam Vinatieri signed and personalized the card I sent him. Also I know Nick Collins signs just use the Packer address provided by the website.

Does anyone know if these players sign during the playoffs or the off season?
Do they sign through their teams?
Thanks.

Collins has been a good signer in the past, but keep in mind he's been IR since early in the season. If I remember right it was a shoulder injury too, so that may lengthen his response time. The Packers in general are very god with fan mail, so you should be fine.
Some favorites from my collection, so far, are...
Favorite IP Autographs: Chris Cooley, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Faith Hill, John Riggins, Bruce Smith
Favorite TTM Autographs: Stephen Davis, Jim Lachey, Peyton Manning, Mark McGwire, Chris Samuels
Favorite Sports Teams: Washington Redskins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox

Send to all of 'em I've see a lot of successes from those guys. The only tricky thing is the guys who aren't in the playoffs, it might take a while but to me the ones that take a long time are the most exciting. You're not expecting anything and all of the sudden you get something back you sent a long time ago. Can't beat that feeling.shadow316 wrote:-46- wrote:all of them should, but not sure about Todman & Collins.bgsteeler10 wrote:I'm trying to send to some players during the playoffs and the off season.

Right? Oh man, I like nickeling and diming it with 10 or 20 day waits, but the best are the ones where I clearly have given up on getting them back and wait 400 days to get a battered envelope with 2 or 3 signed cards inside.
Nearly all those guys sign btw. I saw a few Collins a week or two ago on sportscollectors.net.
Grats on all your autographs. Ozzie Newsome is a WORLD CLASS signer.
Williams looks legit. I doubt he'd have any reason to have a ghost signer or employ a print. Take it for what it is!

Re: NFL TTM Thread
Hello. I have been watching you all for some time. I collect a lot of sport autos, NFL for my kids. I am also very forutnate to be able to meet alot of the St Louis Rams players. I do football customs for them and never ask for any money. What I do ask for is that they do something for my kids. I am not sure if this is the correct place or not but I wanted to ask you all your opinions on what I have here.
Chris Chamberlain starting LB for the St Louis Rams was kind enough to give my kids all of his game used gloves from this past season. There are a few that are missing the right hand, he handed them out at a few games but for the most part all of them are here. He also signed some pictures that show him wearing them. What I think I am going to do is put a few pair in shadow boxes along with an autographed picture and then sell them. All the dollars will go toward raising money for my kids football teams. I wanted to show the pictures of the gloves(you can see some still have tape on the fingers, blood, grass and dirt stains) and pictures and see if there might be any interest for them. I think it might just be better to set a price and not try to auction them off. What do you all think? Also I am including a few pictures of Chris at our home playing catch, with me and his custom and the kids at training camp. I also have included a picture of Chris Massey, Long Snapper for the Bears at our home last night where he gave each of my kids a pair of game used cleats and signed tons of pictures. Thanks.

Re: NFL TTM Thread
- The Colts are usually pretty good with fanmail going back to their days as a cellar dweller in the AFC East. Last season they were fine with forwarding mail, or holding onto it until the player was in the facility for off-season activities.
- I got a Peyton Manning a few months ago on a card with a handwritten request and an SASE. At that time he was returning donations, and you didn't need to send one in order to get his autograph. He signs 1 item per request.
- That is quite an impressive collection of game used memorabilia and autographs! Unfortunately there may not be a strong market for Rams merchandise because of their standing in the league. The casual fan would not be aware that Chris was a starter for the Rams, and probably will not be interested in a long snapper's autograph. I think that Ebay might be a way to go for you, but be careful about heavily in those shadowboxes so you are not taking a bath in them. If you have Hobby Lobby in your area or Michael's, I'm sure you can get a reasonable price on them though. Do upsell on the idea that it is for your kid's football club. You may want to even have a blurb about the team or their struggles to purchase gear, etc. Try posting on http://www.sportscardforum.com/scf/stor ... /1/cur/cc/ or checking with the forum at http://www.beckett.com/forums/. That may help as well. Sorry, I am not a St. Louis Rams fan or this may have piqued my interest. Good luck!
Grats on all your successes this week!

Re: NFL TTM Thread
I got Peyton for free in November. But I've seen people send a donation and they gave the card back unsigned AND took the Money.... You really never know with the Peyback Foundation.
