Help A Beginner out?

Hi, I'm new to the hobby of autograph collecting and I've heard everyone say that they print their pictures out from Google at a store like wallmart or wallgreens. I tried this and i printed out about 15 pictures I wanted to send out to get autographed and out of the 15 only about 3 came out good some came out ok and the rest are really blurry and you can see little squares on them (I don't know what that is). I was just wondering what I am doing wrong that my pictures are coming out in such bad quality. Any help?? Thanks.

Sounds like their coming out pixelated, you're probably using to low of a resolution photo. I always go for the High resolution ones so you don't get that problem. What size did you print them at?

I printed three sizes 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 and i looked for photos larger than 4 MP.

When searching for photos to print on google, always choose the "large" option on the side. Usually the pictures come out better when they are bigger.
