Heath Ledger, real or fake? URGENT
Hi,
Can anyone tell if this is real or fake? If it's real I would like to bid on it, so appreciate any help.

No, this is fake. It doesn't have the common bold, and long squiggly-ness of his signature. Also, it's said he died before any Dark Knight images were produced thus he couldnt be able to sign them.

Top-10 Favorite Autographs: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Johnny Depp, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Larry David, Gary Oldman and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

I don't feel good about this. I don't think there were a lot of Joker pics circulating prior to his death. Any Joker pic signed by Ledger makes me suspcious. I can't say that it isn't his signature, but a signed Joker pic is probably quite rare, very desirable, and a starting bid of $104 is probably a good sign to stay away from it.

Thanks a lot guys. I thought it was a bit suspicious, and you guys confirmed it.
I'd rather wait till I see a Ledger auto in an auction then. Thanks!

The heath is bad as are all the heath's the seller has listed. Ebay has been alerted and they will be removed soon.
BTW The COA posted with the heath items is from a known forger.

Too bad for them who already bought autos from this seller then, but great that no one else will be able to be cheated by this user.
I will put that in mind and alert ebay if I see more of them. Thanks!

AFAIK , only a Joker face picture was released prior to his death and it fetches serious coin......all others , FAKE

Re: Heath Ledger, real or fake? URGENT
For everyone saying that only 1 photo of Heath as the Joker was released prior to his death, that is simply not true. There were at least 2.
The face shot:

The Prison shot (released in Empire Magazine in the fall of 2007)
http://theiddm.files.wordpress.com/2011 ... isoner.jpg
ALSO...it needs to be noted that many signatures were acquired on location in Chicago at the old Post Office when shooting wrapped in late April 2007. Not many people know this....The Dark Knight filmed in Chicago from April 18th-24th 2007 using the old Post Office as the "Gotham National Bank" and the "Gotham Police Department". Upon completion of that 1 week shoot, Warner bros. held an autograph signing for the Cast, crew, family members, and people of the neighborhood. Photos signed were officially licensed by WB Studios BUT were unavailable to the general public at the time of signing. The above photos along with a few others were available. The crew returned again in Aug-Sept. of 2007 to finish the shoot.
Long story short...The signed Joker pictures are out there. Finding someone to part ways with one is another story.

Re: Heath Ledger, real or fake? URGENT
The poster that said their were at least two is exactly right. There are 2 photos of him as the joker that people got signed before he died. These two photos are one of his face, and the second is of him sitting down. However, it is thought that these were the only 2 pics that people were able to get signed, and are extremely extremely rare. be very very careful in purchasing a joker photograph and def get it looked at by psa quick opinion or ask the guys at autograph magazine live as they have alot of experts their. They will be very expensive for sure. I have heard arguments that other pics were able to be printed offline before his death, and thus they had to have been signed, but none have yet surfaced that were authentic. Its kinda like the argument that surely their are numerous beatles signed guitars out their. But yet only one signed beatles guitar has ever surfaced that was accepted as authentic. So the proof is in the pudding, and only these 2 joker photos seemed to have been signed.
So be very careful. Just like their are numerous companies selling fake signed beatles autographs as real, their will be even more fake joker items. their are some great discussion threads of heath and his sig currently over at autograph magazine live. I suggest everyone take a look.
