Venues that do/don't pass on letters

so if I wanted to send to a artist at a venue would it go something like this?

Artist
Attn: event
c/o place of where event is held
address
USA

and then add a Please hold until May 5th 2012

or? should it go like this

Place where event is held
Attn: event
address
USA
Please hold for The Artist until date?

I do mine like this:

Artist
c/o Name of Place
Address
Country

Please hold for show on *date.*

Well I talked to one of the people who work at the place but they told me to put the event on there

I called Key Arena in Seattle Wa, and they told us they DO NOT pass on Fan mail. Thought you could add it to the list. =)

I called The Home Depot Center in Carson California and they said they would accept fan mail

Does the DTE Energy Music Theatre still pass on fan mail? It says they don't but i've seen quite a few responses from people that mailed them after the first post from the admin back in '06 with Slipknot fanmail and such that they got signed at that venue VV. Thanks!
