Stamping helpp for the USA

Unread post by Sarahjonas93 »

Okay, I have been collecting for a while now (i live in the usa), but i have a question, it might sound stupid but i really dont care lol

When you stamp your envelopes (the one your sending to the person), Would it be cheaper to just have them weigh it and stamp it at the post office.
OR
just put a 44 cent forever stamp on it?

I was thinking about this today, and would love some imput on it..

It all depends on what you are sending. I put 2 stamps on my 9X12 envelope FROM the celebrity: if I handwrite the letter and put it in a legal sized envelope it only needs one stamp on the envelope TO the celebrity.

If the paper weighs more or you print the letter it will be .65 in stamps.

Buy a set of digital cooking scales and have a list of prices along with a stock of postage :)

I have a small scale, and use that to figure out how many stamps to put on it. I have Forever Stamps and 17 cent stamps. It used to be that these would work out perfectly, but since the US Postal Service raised prices in January, now I end up paying a few more cents more than I have to.

So if you get the right stamps, you can just do it from home and not overpay.
