I have noticed that Fanmail-bot has given you a number of positive reputation posts that just say " {up} "

They are for pretty irrelivant posts though, such as "Thank you for your feedback posts"

Just wondering why this is.

Every time a veteran moderator / administrator (excluding admin) adds someone to the $10 allposters.com gift certificate contest, they get a {up} reputation point.

So how often are these reputation points given? Is there a cycle, or does admin just give them whenever he gets around to it?

I believe Fanmail-Bot gives them automatically.
