Hey man, Its not to burst your bubble or downgrade your success. Starting off, I got about 4 balls signed on those baseballs and within 2 years, they look horrible...same baseballs that you got. What sucks is that I got Strasburg on one of them and my favorite baseball in my collection, Bobby Thomson on one. Never got to send him an ROMLB before he passed away. Also rec'd Don Larsen and Bob Feller one one...sigs are still there but are really faded.

I get the fotoballs with team logos and always send a fine tip Sharpie marker pen for them to use. I have never had a ball fade using the Sharpie pen. You can find ROML balls on eBay pretty cheap if you dig. I got a 1992 World Series ball for $10 and had Pat Gillick sign it (in my pen). Just don't get the simulated leather ball, those will look bad after a few years. As far as not worth jack, well, some don't care about the value, but a legend like Musial is worth the extra effort, at least, to find a cheap ROML ball. They do exist. I like mine to look a little aged anyway, when I get the older players.

Hey cachman congrats on the ball. If I were you I would've tried free the first time. You can also ask him for a signed postcard and that is free. I have a neighbor who personally knows Musial (I am from st Louis) and he said he has hundreds of signed postcards in a stack and if you ask for one, he throws it in there. Congrats on the ball! I'm waiting on mine to return. Also can you tell me when you sent a ttm to Matt Holliday and where you sent it to? Thanks!!

I sent to Holliday back in 2007 when he was with the rockies. I think I got lucky because I haven't seen ANY successes from him at all
