Also calling them "old people" is VERY disrespectful.

I have emailed the Doris Day Animal Foundation twic regarding this. In my first I said I understand Miss Day gets alot of requests and that unfortunatley some celebrities have taken to a secretary answering their mail...But would I possibly be able to send her CD cover in and have it personally signed. I got an email back saying she always personally signed her fan mail. Then I got the question of why some are not postmarked from California. The below is a copy and paste of her reply.....and my email to her.

Dear Paul, Miss Day gets so many requests to autograph photos, and she signs as many as she can.  Someone else does physically mail them for her because it is an overwhelming task for her, and she does not have a staff to handleher correspondence and requests. There's nothing that can be done about Internet rumors, so that's nothing we can address. Miss Day is in her 80's and works very hard to take care of the huge volume of requests that comes in. We hope this helps. The Doris Day Animal Foundation Team 

HelloI am just wondering why all requests for autographs to Miss Day sent to CA come back postmarked from the Animal League in KY.I have gotten in a few arguments with people that are insinuating my autgraphs are fake due to where they are returned from.  I believe they are real so I am just looking for the reason to tell them.Thank you.Paul

They also didnt have to reply at all. It wouldnt be the first time a contact for a celebrity ignored an email. Ps....please read below and click on the you tube link as you can hear Doris Day herself speak about fan letters gifts etc sent to her and her usual reply.

Well even this wont be proof to some people. But this was on youtube. Doris Day called into a talk show and the radio show host interviewed her. This was in 2009.
It is approx. 8 minutes into the interview. She describes how bad she felt because her fans that she said she preferred to call friends.....Had sent gifts letters etc. And she had a leak in her roof and was also renovating the house and letters and addresses got mixed up.....but she wanted to thank those people on the air and send her love and that she always sent out personal thank you cards etc.
This is Doris Day herself. She sounded very very sincere and I think she was not lying....she did not have to mention it at all if it was all a big lie.

Actually it starts earlier then 8 minutes in....around 7....but at 8 min 42 seconds in she explains how bad she felt and how she always replies etc.....

Why would someone who hasnt made a film in thirty years feel the need to 'play' anyone. And of course I knew some peoples minds wouldnt change. Some peoples defense is shes a crazy Hermit...or shes turned her back on Hollywood....and now its full circle to shes an actress. As far as her D's being differnt through the mail then in person. When was the last time you saw an autograph of Doris Day signed in person?
