I'm new here at this forum. As a HUGE Lion King fan, I've already sent to James Earl Jones and Robert Guillaume, as I've heard they're pretty good at signing stuff.
My question is: Whoopi Goldberg seems good to her fans as well, but are her autographs authentic or secretarials? And do you think she will personalize them to me if I ask?
Thanks so much.

Re: Whoopi Goldberg Help?
Whoopi signs authentically through the mail.
I have seen a few personalizations from her. Just depends. Good Luck!
Re: Whoopi Goldberg Help?
I dont always believe the old cliche of "if you saw the sign it then it is genuine". That depends. Some celebs send TTM which is 100% authentic and if you write to a minor star such as a soap actor then it should be 100% authentic.Autographboy23 wrote:Whoopi signs authentically through the mail.![]()

Corriefan, I do not understand what you are trying to say to me. But I must say that I have been collecting autographs IP and TTM for many years. Do the research. you can tell who signs authentically simply by comparing In person signatures to the ones that come through the mail. Autopens, Secretarials, and Pre-Prints can all be determined by doing some research.

Whoa there. That is not the attitude to take with me is it. Esp coming from a moderator. I was just stating a fact and yet you get all defensive. FYI I have also been studying signatures and collecting autographs for years. It seems you "Think" I was lecturing you on things you know when I was just agreeing with you. I dont care if someone has been collecting for a year or 30 years I will still state when I also have found out. I dont appreciate condescending remarks like the ones I have highlighted in bold.

I was not trying to be nasty, I just do not understand your logic. You said " I dont always believe the old cliche of "if you saw the sign it then it is genuine". -- I do not understand what you are trying to say. Nothing mean meant by it, but I just do not understand it. Then "Some celebs send TTM which is 100% authentic and if you write to a minor star such as a soap actor then it should be 100% authentic." The fact that a star might be lesser known does not mean that you are going to get something authentic back. There are several lesser known stars that send out PP's and autopens or just simply do not reply at all. I was not trying to be condescending, just trying to understand your logic. I am not taking this coversation past this point. I am sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I am above arguing and bickering.
Re: Whoopi Goldberg Help?
OK then I understand.
When I get TTM autographs I do research to make sure it is authentic and have learned the tricks of the trade in determining if it is authentic or not by comparing the sig with other examples of their signature esp any in person ones. Then you know for sure if yoiu have the real deal.
As you said you can pick out the secs, APs or PPs by doing research.
