Hi, I have a few questions regarding sending letters to actors. In the next 2 weeks I am going to be sending 7 letters to different actors requesting an autograph, i would like to get them all back but i do not expect to. I am sending them to, Billie piper, Christopher Eccleston, freema agyeman, john simm, Matt smith and Simon pegg. As you can see most are from doctor who and are in other films.
I was wondering when you are sending letters to them would it matter if you were to write them and print them off on the computer or would it be better to write them by hand. Would they even read them at all? and would it matter sending them all at the same time?
I was also wondering when sending to various doctor who actors some of the addresses are the same, why is this?, when they receive the letter do they send them to the actor or does the actor go to them and collect them?
Thank you, Tyler.b

I typed my letters when I first started collecting, but then I started handwriting letters and I found that I generally got better and quicker responses, but it's up to you whichever way you would prefer. I don't think it would matter sending them all at the same time.
It doesn't really matter if you type or handwrite your letters. Personally, I handwrite all of mine. I feel like it gives the celebrity a feeling of being more connected with me as a person when they see my handwriting. I feel like on the computer it could be anyone typing, but handwriting is much more personal. That's just my opinion, though, do whatever you think is better for you! Also if you have handwriting that's a bit on the sloppy side, typing might be a better option for you!
As far as the celebrity reading the letters, I think it all depends on who you're sending to. More of the bigger stars I've found it don't really read the letters (there are ALWAYS exceptions, however!!), but if you're sending to some older or lesser known celebrities, I think it's a greater chance that they will personally read your letter.
Good luck with your requests and happy collecting!!

Thank you Emily, I will be posting to my most favorite actors in the next few days. Thinking about it I will hand write all of my letters even if they do not read it. My handwriting honestly isn't the best and I normally take my time when writing them so they can be easily read, I find that for myself it makes me feel more towards the actor and with me taking my time, I am able to think about everything and generally i think i write a better letter. I do hope I get a reply from them as I am posting to 8 actors.
