She cancelled London Film & Comic Con 2011 due to illness then Gallifrey One tweeted this back in January "Unfortunately Mary Tamm has had to withdraw from Gallifrey 2012 due to a change in her work schedule." so you havent remembered wrong it's just what they said at the time.
They only said why she really cancelled the other day on their Facebook.
