Sharing Email address

Unread post by EmmaSheree »

Hi,
Ive decided i dont want to share any email addresses with any Random person.

When i post email successes i write the site without the WWW. (so it doesnt come up as a link).
But i still get people asking me what address i used ect.

i dont really want to share any addresses as i found all mine out on my own through reasearch.

I posted i will not give out any addresses in my signature but i really dont want them to be spammed by any random person.

Any ideas on what else i could do
Am i allowed to refuse to share?

You could do this, when they ask "Can i have _____ email?" you say "No."

If they're really a fan of the person they'll put the effort in and find the address. If they ask for it than more than likely they just want a free autograph. 8)

No one is entitled to an address, I've received about 20 PM's regarding my Julianne Hough success. Haven't given it out.

You dont have to share if you dont want.

I especially love the posts and PMs that read... and I quote... "address please and thank you".

I've started to reply... "go jump off a cliff... please and thank you!"

But then you have the fake successes were the email addresses don't even really exist so real fans can't even put in the effort to find them. Taylor Swift is a great example of that. There is no email out there where someone can contact her "people" but you see all these bought autographs where people are claiming that they emailed her and she sent them one by FedEx for the extra cost instead of regular mail.

I think that's a bit exaggerated.. I'm sure 99% of email successes posted are genuine successes.. There's an email address for everyone somewhere, it might be extremely hard to find but there will be one.
